With over a decade of experience in the software industry, I am currently navigating the remote work landscape from my base in Germany. My passion for technology has been lifelong, a journey that has led me to specialize in several key areas:

• Operating Systems: Linux has been a cornerstone of my career, ever since I ran a Linux router at home. I love operating, configuring and interacting with Unix-like machines. This was instrumental in shaping my career.

• Network Engineering: The challenge of connecting devices across various distances has always piqued my interest. I maintain a 19" rack at home, outfitted with an array of servers dedicated to tasks such as routing, virtualization, and service monitoring.

• Open-Source Advocacy: The open-source community is an invaluable resource and a constant source of inspiration. I strive to contribute meaningfully, whether it’s by submitting patches or providing community support.

• Home Automation: Crafting reliable, rule-based systems is more than a hobby—it’s a discipline. Utilizing Zigbee technology, I’ve built an extensive home network featuring over 50 connected devices. Home Assistant has been my platform of choice for over four years, serving as the backbone of my home’s automated ecosystem.

• Electronics & Embedded Systems: Though not an expert, I find immense satisfaction in experimenting with electronic circuits and embedded hardware. Platforms like Arduino have made this field more accessible than ever, offering endless opportunities for learning and growth.
