About
I'm a software engineer based in Germany, currently managing a team working on data warehousing at a large European software company. Before that I was a developer and architect.
Outside of work, I like tinkering with Linux, networking, and home automation. I run Home Assistant with a bunch of Zigbee devices, maintain a small homelab, and occasionally mess with embedded stuff like ESPHome. I enjoy running services professionally, even if it's just for myself.
I don't watch much TV. Most of my free time goes into personal projects and open source. The rest I spend outdoors — cycling, sports, anything to offset the screen time. Truth is, I just love computers too much and spend too much time in front of them.
This blog is where I write about things I figure out along the way — mostly so I don't forget them myself.
